what kind of programming do you do now?

visual foxpro, unfortunately. Trying to bring the company in to the 2000s.

yeah, python would be a huge leap forward. :-)
yeah, looking to convert to mysql for sure and we are discussing what platform to use for programs and web stuff. We have all microsoft stuff so .net is an option, but I really would like to try some more of the open source stuff. We shall see.
you should take a look at PostgreSQL. it's a strong open-source database.
